Change auction end date/time for a cancelled / re-listed item

My item has been relisted by Ebay due to order being cancelled as buyer did not make any contact after winning the auction. It has been re-listed but it means it will finish very late at night / early in the morning - but I would prefer to schedule it to finish at 8pm on a Sunday. How can this be done ? I cannot see how to cancel the listing to adjust and re-list. The item does not have any bids yet. Thanks.

If the item has only just been listed you may be able to revise the item by going right of the item More Actions >>  Revise Item,  this can be found top left if the page if you are on the Seller Hub page.

If it does not allow you to do this,  you need to end the item,  and relist it checking all the details and times of schedule are correct and amended to that you require,  before submitting the listing to go live.

You did send a cancellation request citing buyer hss not paid after 4 days of non payment?  If not,  do this now,  as this finalises that transaction,  refunds  to you  any applicable selling fees,  and gives the buyer an unpaid item strike on their account.

Thank you. I can revise most atttributes of the item, but not the start/end
time.

I can end the item early and relist but will I be penalised for this ? Will
it affect my ebay feedback / score ?

Yes, the transaction was finalised properly and the item was automatically
relisted - although the buyer did not respond to me or ebay. I actually
think it might be a bot / not a proper account as they have no feedback
score.

I've just had a look at your 2 listings and I would revise tnhem both asap! You have starting bids of £1 on each of those lovely items.

If you get one bid you have to sell it for £1 ! Revise the start price on both whilst they have no bids to the lowest amount you are happy to receive, it cannot sell for less.

If you are cancelling the item to relist at that different start time that has the Buy it Now price, you will pay 50p. That is a listing upgrade, and has a 50p non refundable fee. In my humble opinion I would never use this upgarde, or any to be honest, but a Buy it Now Price disappears when the first bid is placed, and the sale runs on in auction style only, no Buy it Now Price, or offer can then be accepted.

Thank you for your reply. I understand that if I only receive one bid, I
would sell the item for £1 .. In my experience, I have found a lower
starting price attracts more bids. If it sells for only £1, that would be
fine 🙂

If I end the item early, I note I will have to pay 50p but will I be
penalised (bad feedback or some kind of strike?) for ending the auction
early ?

Are you sure a Buy It Now price disappears as soon as the first bid is
placed ? For example, I have set a buy-it-now of £75, but if people bit
below that, I think the buy-it-now option stays available ?

Yep, I am positive the Buy it Now price disappears when a bid is placed,
because the sale has to run on then in auction style in fairness to thw
other bidder(s).

Always list items strating for the lowest amount you are happy to receive,
it cannot sell for less.

If you end an auction early with no bids, your account and seller
performance is not affected. only if it has bids, and you end the auction
early, you then pay a seller fee based on the highest bid placed, but a
seller can end a Buy it Now listed price at any time, and end an auction
item as long as there are more than 12 hours to run there.
