Hi I bought a hairdresser's chair a few days ago for 160f and I was sure it would come to me in perfect condition because it wasn't cheap and I open my Beauty business. When I received the chair was scratched, broken, the condition I define as very bad. I wrote to the seller sending pictures confirming the poor condition of the chair. And he wrote me that I have a chair to send and pay and how he will get a chair then I will send me money. This is a joke. I wrote to him that I do not have time to return because he works in his business as he does not work I have no money I do not have how to send. He wrote that he will refund the entire cost for the chair, but I have to report the return on ebay. I did yak as he told me. I got messages from him. I was very good. He write messages to me and uses my time. I wrote him that nid I have how to send chairs that he wants a refund or half to fix the chair and he constantly discusses needs help
When you receive an item that is damaged or faulty or doesn't match the description you need to open a case under eBay's money back guarantee, through the resolution centre: https://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/
To qualify, you must have paid through eBay's checkout by credit or debit card, PayPal or PayPal credit, or Apple Pay or Google Pay. A case must be opened within 30 days after the actual (or latest estimated) delivery date, or within the seller's return window, if longer. The item must have been delivered, or collected by you in person.
The seller is allowed 3 business days in which to respond. After that, the option will appear for you to escalate the case, if necessary, for eBay to step in and help. This option remains available for 21 days from the date the case was opened.
If the item had been located in the UK, eBay would have enabled the seller to send you a prepaid return label. This won't apply if the item was bought from France. Whether you or the seller will have to pay is uncertain. The rules say that the seller should, but how and whether eBay will enforce this is unpredictable. Once returned, eBay will process your refund.
If the seller doesn't reply or you're not happy with their response, escalate the case. Follow any instructions and time limits carefully, and don't agree to close the case until you have received your refund.
