Cannot send an invoice for a sale, keep getting this message... Something went wrong. Please try again later.

Do you need to send an invoice?  Are you changing the potage?  if so ,  and you are using an app,   switch to a deskptop browser,  see if that helps.

Otherwise,  no need to send an invoice,  ask the buyer to go right of the item purchased,  click on the PAY NOW,    and follow through with a Paypal checkout and payment.

Customer has clicked on buy now, I have been notified to send an invoice as I am adding courier fee, I`m on a laptop and tried 3 different browsers but still getting the same message.

If the buyer has paid the initial price you cannot send an invoice now and will have to send a Paypal invoice for the extra courier charges.

Browsers that are eBay friendly are Chrome and Firefox.
