Hi . I had the winning bid for some tissues but my had already managed to get some so asked the seller to cancel the item and let someone else have them who probably needs them in these terrible times. She is refusing to cancel saying I have to pay for them no matter what . Can I cancel the item

Sorry no,  if you bid or buy you are obliged to pay.  The seller has paid an immediate seller fee,  to retrieve this if you do not pay,  they can open an unpaid item case,  then if you do not pay,  you receive a strike on your account.

 

One will not do you much harm but gain another,  and you will not be able to buy from the majority of sellers on eBay for 12 months.
