so I sold an item and in the description it has a defect listed also photos taken of this actual defect, buyer put in an offer I accepted and the buyer paid, but 2 minutes later asked for a refund via a case, she said she didn't want it as it has the defect, I have no objection of refunding her that's fine but Ebay want to take the fees which works out at £2.40 but this is a recurring case I've had four of these in the last few weeks resulting in around £20 loss to me and I'm getting sick of it, if buyers can't be bothered to read the description why should I pay for that how can I get out of this payment because I cannot get anybody from Ebay all I get is a Recorded message
You should not be losing that much if buyers are either not paying or want refunds
If they dont pay then you do the non payment function as ebay will send reminders and then after 4 days you or ebay can cancel the dispute and you get your fees back
IF they want to cancel then they send a cancellation request
it is best to cancel through the request as buyer requests to cancel.
You get your fees back minus 30p
Ebay charge the fees to your account straight away but they are refunded
