Hi - any advice on what I do next please .... I do not want to make myself vulnerable to dispatching and refund claim due to cancellation.
The buyer accepted the offer. As the "sold" email came through the buyer address was non-UK and all my postage is restricted to UK only so I cancelled and messaged and advised the buyer I don't post to US please don't pay and I will cancel etc.
Then they paid and asked for UK delivery address - which is showing on the postal address. So the US one must have been a "registered address" as I've also been charged international fees too.
With it being both "Cancelled" and "paid". Do I just dispatch and add my tracking or do I refund and start again?
Thanks in advance 🙂
Called ebay this morning and here is the "answer they gave me".
eBay can't undo a "cancelled" sale so the only option is to refund and start again and re-list if both parties want to continue a sale.
You shouldn't dispatch the item because a "cancelled" transaction triggers an automatic refund if the buyer has paid....
I also learnt that "international buyers" can buy from you even if you don't ship to them and request UK shipping to addresses in UK and I STILL get charged international fees on top of all the other fees (charmed!)
