Five minutes after winning a bid for my car, my bidder changed her mind and asked me to cancel. I 'cancelled' and ebay sent her a 'confirm the cancellation' request. Can i make a second chance offer to the next bidder yet?
Did she confirm? If so offer 2 second bidder.
You should never do a cancellation for time wasters, it gives them a chance to decline then you are stuck with the fees.
Always open an unpaid case.
If you sent a cancellation request the buyer has to accept this for you to receive those Final Value fees back, which you paid immediately , when the buyer bought your car.
Once accepted the fees are refunded, the transaction closed, and only then can you safely relist. If your buyer ignores the instruction, you have to wait a full 10 days to close the case yourself to retrieve those fees. That is why for a non payment an unpaid case is quicker, as it can be closed in 4 days.
Be aware you will still have to pay that £10 listing fee, and once again, if you relist. That is a non refundable fee.
You're supposed to wait for the buyer to agree the cancellation first just in case they change their mind. Unlikely but you never know. You could always email the underbidder and let them know what's happening. Don't try and give them your address or phone number before they buy it though. eBay will block messages if you do.
