Hi
i started a return to the seller after I ordered the wrong item
they then said after a day please just send back and they would sort the correct item but don't use eBay return
i had already started it and now I cannot cancel which means the payment to the seller is frozen
i have sent the item back via post and the seller is now waiting for the cancel to clear so he can replacment
not my fault just delays in emails etc

Proceed with the return. It's safer for you anyway. If you used a non-ebay generated postage label you'll need to contact ebay and ask them to add the tracking number onto your return case. Go to My eBay and click on "Help & Contact", top left. Scroll down to "Contact Us" and click on that. Select a topic, the nearest or any topic. On the next page, on the lefthand side you should get a link for "Chat with us". You may have to select different topics until you get the chat link but they will still help you.
After that if necessary escalate the case to ebay 3 working days after you started it. Go to the return case via the link on the ebay message or in Resolution Centre, click on Case Details > Respond to Case > Escalate This Case > Submit. Your money will be refunded and you can then buy again if you want.
