Can’t change the language to English in my emails

I've been trying to change the language on my email from ebay to english

Is this new or have you always had another language and if so what language?

This is for amending if for example you lived outside the uk - https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/account/changing-account-settings/updating-country-currency-settings?id=...

If it just something that has recently happened, have you logged out, and then logged into ebay uk. 

Members who browse usually in the USA, end up logged in there but language is not a problem, The same sort of thing may have happened to you except that you are logged in to ebay France for example.
