Calling ebay

I need to talk to an actual person at ebay as the automated chat is not giving me the answers i need. iIs there a telephone number i can call?

If there was a number you could use it would be displayed on the contact page.  At the moment the only contact options are call back and live chat.  You access these through the help and contact tab, type in 'advanced search' and scroll to the bottom of the page that comes up.
