Buyers from outside UK.

As I am new to selling on Ebay, I have restricted my postage to being within the UK.

I have received an enquiry from a 'buyer' in Israel asking if I would be willing to post to Israel or send the item to her friend in the UK.

I am going to explain to the 'buyer' that I would rather not post to Israel.  However, what I would like to know is, if I accepted a bid from the 'buyer' am I allowed to post the item to an address that is not the 'buyer's' address ie to her friend's address in the UK.  Am I still covered by Ebay's rules should anything happen?

Buyer would have to change the delivery address before paying for you as seller to have any protection and even then you only have any protection if you use tracked mail.

The simple solution would be for the person in the UK to buy and pay, then person in Israel sorts out with the buyer. Would also avoid VAT being added to purchase price.

You dont have to sell to overseas if you dont want to and you do have your postage set to UK only

Go back to buyer requirements and set Block countries you dont sell too. The go back again and block bidders in countries I dont sell to to stop them bidding.

You must send to the address they have on their ebay/Paypal  account when they buy/pay.

Many sellers are now on managed payments so it would be ebay payment.

Personally I would just block the countries and the buyers and not have anything to do with it

especially as you are new until you get used to selling

it is a minefield and many buyers would try to scam a seller they see is new.
