So over the last couple of months I have had potential buyers make offers on 3 seperate items which I have accepted, only for them to then demand cancellation and refuse to pay. Is there any protection for sellers against this? Previously you would be able to make a claim for non-payment and eBay would pay you the amount they owed if they still didn't pay, but looks like this isn't the case anymore?
If so that seems to have removed a lot of protection for sellers, as you end up losing any ongoing communication with other potential buyers, and potentially any selling fee offers you listed the item with.
ebay have NEVER paid a seller when a buyer has refused to pay!
you have only been able to give the non payer a strike and get your fees refunded
There is still an Unpaid Item process but it's been changed to a cancellation after 4 complete days. The buyer gets a non-payment strike and you get your fee refunded. More info:
