BuyerRefused to return item ..

I bought an item off eBay but didn't even try it on didn't like it so put it straight back on eBay!a person bought it then messaged me saying it was stained and unsaleable I apologised profusely and offered and offered full refund and a return p&p label so it wouldn't cost her anything...she blatantly refused to return it so I contacted eBay,didn't hear anything so left it at that..then this'person left me terrible feedback ruining my 100% score I asked eBay to remove it they said they couldn't ...now surprisingly that person has for sale the very SAME item I sold her..coincidence or what...I obviously I can't prove it's the same item she refused to return but is there nothing I can do? Anyone any ideas please?

I'm afraid not. The buyer's feedback doesn't break any of eBay's rules on what can be said in feedback.

Your mistake was to try to agree this return yourself, indtead of letting eBay handle it. You should have asked her to open a case under eBay's money back guarantee. EBay would have enabled you to send her a return label, and she would not have been refunded until she returned it. EBay would have processed the refund and you would have received a fee credit for your final value fee.

If she refused to return the item the case would have timed out in your favour. She would have been blocked from leaving feedback, or any she did leave you could probably have had removed.
