Buyer says buy it now not working

I have a buyer that keeps asking if they can pay cash. Originally they wouldn’t action the buy it now option but bid then they retracted the bid and are now saying they can’t buy it now. I’m being offered cash when my advert indicates PayPal

once a bid has been placed the buy it now is removed,

it isn't reinstated when the bid is retracted,

your item is collection only, so cash on collection is the most sensible way to be paid,

let the auction run to the end then send the winning bidder an invoice with collection and payment details.

If the buyer is collecting the item then cash would be far more preferable for you than PayPal so there's not a problem with that.

Just mark the item as paid for and dispatched after they've come and collected.
