Might be silly but I need some advice.
I've sold an item that I had listed as collection only - specified as safe and socially distanced collection from my porch - and accepted an offer on it a few days ago. The buyer messaged me asking my address and then said they'd pay, which they did via PayPal.
Yesterday morning I messaged them my address asking when they'd like to collect and to give a rough idea of time to no reply. Sent another message later in the day, again to no reply. I messaged once more this morning just saying in case they didn't get my messages when would they like to collect and I've still not received a reply.
I'm not sure what to do now. I don't mind holding on to the item but it's the lack of communication that is weird to me. A quick message to say they're busy and they can come next week would suffice but no reponse at all seems off.
Should I just leave it and wait for them to contact me or cancel the order and refund?
Just wait and see what happens
I find it annoying when they dont reply but find collection items can be difficult
They may be waiting for a time when they are near by.
They may even be ill.
They may have not realised where you live
Just wait and see what happens and if they have not contacted you in a couple of weeks contact again and ask if they
wish to cancel
If they do then they need to send you a cancellation request for you agree to and to refund
You get your fees back
Dont just cancel as if you do you could be left with the fees and a defect
You lose the paypal fees anyway as they are now non refundable
