Good Morning All,
How routine is it for eBay to refund a buyer who claims item is defective when they have ignored the advert and bought something that does not fit?
It's not about £13 for item, buyer is blatantly lying. In this case manufacturer wants items back as the fault is totally new in millions they make each year. Apparently I have more chance of travelling to Mars than 2 items to fail as described.
Just wondered about eBay attitude? They are clear I will not refund after calls etc so why push the refund through, even when they can spot the fibs in the messages.
Stay safe.
The picture of the water filters seems to show a box selling six whereas I think that you are selling three. This in most of our views would make the items "not as described" [not that it is "faulty"] and so the buyer is fully entitled to a refund.
If the buyer opens a "not as described" case [as he must if he wants a refund] and you send the label and refund straight away you will get an eBay fee credit. If you do not deal with it ebay will refund [possibly without requiring a return] and will not give you a fee credit but will give you an account defect.
No one says this is fair but we all have to abide with the eBay system. For the £13 it really is not worth doing any more. It is perhaps pertinent too that other sellers are seemingly selling 6 filters for around £13
sorry, but the picture forms part of the description,
you shouldn't have used a picture of 6 when you were only selling 3
