OMG I believed a buyer overbidded for an item and refunded them £8 . As a result the boys address disappeared of the system before I could send. I emailed the buyer to explain what had happened and how I needed there address. They never responded, instead opened a case against me and left negative feedback. I've asked them to review the feedback and I'll send the dress at the discounted price. But no, they've said they cant be bothered.
Now I dont seem able to report this, as when trying to report it, I get the run around with the ebay assistant. So I've now been penalized for been kind!!!! Idiots
adding to the advice already given -
If the buyer reports the false positive you left them it will damage your account more than the neg they left.
why on earth did you refund?
you had several bidders push the price up to the amount the buyer paid,
the buyers address doesn't 'disappear' when you issue a partial refund, you clearly didn't look in the right place,
you gave the buyer a negative experience so the feedback won't be removed
I htink you're saying that, for whatever reason, you somehow lost the buyer's address after they had paid and you never sent them the item? They then opened and presumably won a case under eBay's money back guarantee?
If so, there is no way you can get the feedback changed unless the buyer agrees, which they obviously won't. There doesn't even seem to be anything to report. If anything, you're the one who hasn't followed eBay's procedures. It would have been better to stick to offer them a cancellation and full refund, instead of a discount.
