Buyer has asked to cancel a bid

A buyer has asked me to cancel a bid on an item as he didnt read the description properly, how do i do this please?

He can cancel himself which is better as eBay records a bid retraction on his account.

Advise him to go to help and contact and search "buyer retract bid" and to read the reasons for so doing

I am generally a softy but buyer are not supposed to retract and it's one thing I would not do

I assume you literally mean a bid and not cancel a sale after the bidder has won.

Big difference in the answer, if sold the buyer has to send an Official request to cancel to the seller, who then cancels using the reason "Buyer's Request"

The buyer asked me if i would cancel his bid for an item that hasnt ended, he didnt see the ‘womens’ which is the first word you would see on my listing! He said he’d just glossed over the description before bidding then realising it wouldnt be any good to him.
