Buyer has asked me to delay posting

I have had a buyer request that I delay posting an item that they have paid for till they return from holiday , my account is new with the usual restrictions on number of items I can sell etc and it's one of the first items I've sold but now I'm worried that I will not meet the necessary criteria re posting times to enable me to up my selling limits is there a way of marking this item postage pending due to buyers request or something similar

I have been asked this of buyers many times,  and what I have done is messaged the buyer to say ....   ' yes it can be posted later,  but I do need to mark it as posted now,  because of the way my seller account works and it would otherwise give me a defect on my account.

I will then notify you when the item has been posted , at your requested date,  through an eBay message.

Please message me if this is acceptable, otherwise I am happy to issue a cancellation which will refund your money.'

Then await their response.
