Buyer damaged goods

Hi, I recently sold an expensive watch, the buyer contacted me to say he could not screw down the crown, an essential action for swimming, he later contacted me to say he had taken the watch swimming and it was now broken, what are my options?

You can refuse to accept a return, or accept it for a partial refund.   Problem is ebay tend to side with buyers so if they escalate a case to ebay you would end up having to issue full refund (after return) unless you can persuade ebay that the buyer damaged the watch.  Best of luck.
