Hi I recently sold a wedgewood plate, which I listed as "used". As far as I could tell I was sending a good used condition plate with no obvious defects. The buyer has sent me pictures with what they claim are chips to the laquer, but these were too small for me to notice them, and besides it is a used item. They are asking for a partial refund. What should I do? The item when for quite a large sum, around £75 as it is apparently a sought after design, but I sold it with a low start price, and in good faith as a "used" item
There is no way of enforcing a Partial refund, that is just by arrangement between buyer and seller.
They either open a case for a FULL refund or you come to some agreement. Remember buyer can leave feedback. I suggest you look at the buyer's feedback LEFT FOR OTHERS. That will tell you more about a buyer than feedback they have received as they may make a practise of asking for a Discount, and if it is refused leave a negative.
