Buyer cancels order and requests refund

A buyer has just purchased something from me, then immediately requested to cancel it. They say they want to buy it again from a different account? The eBay listing says I can refund them (about £20) but my paypal account isn't showing the money in my account yet- could this be a scam? Or where do I see the credit for the money they have supposedly paid?

Surely you are aware that you are on managed payments and money does not go to Paypal now. At the top of the Seller Hub page PAYMENTS, that is where you should look as advised in the many notes about Managed payments.

What do they mean "Buy from a different account". Do you mean a different seller? or they want to buy from you again using a different ID. If so each time they pay you even though the selling fee is refunded if  cancelled properly, you still pay 30p, so this buyer is just wasting your money.

I don’t sell much on eBay and this is why! I have jsut added a bank account now and tried to refund them, but the system is now asking me to add a credit card for the payment? Yes they want to buy from a different account- the whole thing feels dodgy as they initially asked if I could send it to a different address as they are moving.
