You cannot mark as dispatched after you send a partial refund.
Just message the buyer that the item has been posted, add any tracking numbers or 16 digit numbers from your proof of posting if used, to the message to reassure the buyer.
It's not mandatory to mark as dispatched many sellers don't do this, so do not worry.
