I sold a china jug, bowl and saucer set - the postage was standard 2nd class.
I wrapped the items individually in bubble wrap, put them in a box - wrapped the box in bubble wrap and wrote FRAGILE on the label.
my buyer has said he's now out of pocket, I've explained the above to him but am I liable to refund this money??
You have to deal with it
I am sure you would not be happy to buy an item that turned up broken
The buyer needs to open a not as described dispute and you send a pre paid label for the return if you want it back
You can try claiming off RM but you need to read their list of items that are not covered.
Still claim
Of course you are. Seller is responsible for getting items to buyer in good condition.
Buyer can open a Not as Describe case for a FULL refund, but it is more likely he would settle for a part refund without having to return the lot and you would have to pay for the return tracked postage label.
Consider the costs for you if returned for a full refund, offer a part refund.
Yes, I'm afraid you are. Refund via a "not as described" case opened by the buyer and claim from RM for yourself. You can get the claim form online or from your post office.
