Bought item... Got refunded? Can that happen?

Hi all, I bought an item today. The listing was a buy it now listing. I payed for it straight away but within half an hour got my money refunded with no explanation from the seller? Tried to contact the seller but no answer. I would have thought that once money had changed hands the item was mine?? Any ideas???

Buyers who don't pay and sellers who won't sell are the bane of eBay.

You can't force the seller to sell, but you can leave whatever feedback you think appropriate.

They may ask you to agree to a cancellation, to get their fees for the sale refunded. You are entitled to refuse this request. If you do, their fees won't be refunded and eBay will also place a defect on their account for failing to complete the sale.
