Bid received after auction ended

I've read a few other similar stories to this: I've entered a maximum bid on an item (around 5-7 seconds before the auction ends), and won the item with eBay's autobid.

However, on looking at the list of bids, the next bid lower to mine shows as being placed/ received 1 second after the auction end time.

This is not a discrepancy between the time on my device and eBay time; I'm not comparing times. This is in the list of bids and the time of those bids.

I won the item, but for a higher price than if that final bid had been rejected as it was too late.

I have a screen shot but not sure if I can attach it.

you are mistaken,

what you state happened just can't happen

go to the bid history page (click on the number of bids in brackets)

look at the time the listing ended

it will show the hour, the minute, and the second the auction ended,

then look at the time and date the bid was placed

If other bidder used a snipeing tool to bid at last second, then that may be why you didn't see bid until listing ended,

I know you say that your device & ebay clocks are the same, but only needs to be out by 1 second to appear as if bid was after auction end, have you looked at time of bids on ended listing.
