Being blocked by a seller

Hi I asked a seller if the item he was selling was genuine (a coin ) he then blocked me from bidding or making offers is this discriminating act allowed for asking a simple question eBay said they can't do anything about this even tho it's there site for asking a simple question

sellers can block any one they wish to.

They looked upon such a question as questioning their integrity.

Listing on eBay is certifying it as genuine.

Hi

Sellers can block anyone they want to and do not have to give a reason.  That is why Ebay said there is nothing they can do.

Counterfeit/copy items are not allowed to be sold on Ebay.    Not saying it is true or fair or right for the seller to do so...... but the seller probably blocked you because they thought they may have problems post sale 😞

To be honest the ability to block any other member can be good in certain circumstances.....age ago i sold a loco....the buyer claimed not as described which was a false claim. I got the item back and this buyer had taken the guts out of it and sent back an empty shell. They went straight onto my block bidder list as there is no way i wanted them to come back and bid on any future items i listed.

the coin is probably a fake.

he has blocked you to stop you buying it and then opening a case

sellers can block anyone they like, ebay cannot stop them from doing this.
