BUYER LIED

Hi all,I sold a christian dior mens jacket recently.I have received a return dispute, stating the jacket was not authentic as it had a stuck on made in england label to inside,it certainly did not.The photos clearly show the labels to the inside, and do not say england or show glued label in any way.I have asked the buyer to upload photos to show what they are disputing, they have not as yet.If this runs over time where I ask ebay to step in,do you feel they will look at this case correctly,i.e. the photos in listing, and lack of evidence from buyer,or do you think theyll issue refund anyway?

do you think theyll issue refund

Yes, I think they will require you to refund them.

EBay's policy, where they can't determine that an item matched the description, is to find in the buyer's favour. As they never even see the item the outcome is almost a foregone conclusion. You might be lucky, but so many sellers have told us that eBay has taken no notice of anything they have tried to explain.

It's not you who asks eBay to step in, it's the buyer. Don't waste time asking the buyer for photos, it's out of your hands. What you need to do is to responded to eBay within three working days, or they may just enforce the refund and not even require the buyer to return the jacket. You would then forfeit any return of fees and be penalised with a defect on your account.
