Audio head unit, replacement unit now faulty.

I purchased an Audio head unit for my car late October 2016 within weeks it was returned as in my opinion faulty from new.

A new unit was sent to me a few days befor Christmas but this unit is showing as faulty,as in everytime I try to use the satnav( software supplied by unit supplier)it reboots the unit.

Last time it cost me over £15.00 to return it,am I within my rights to ask the seller to pay for it's return and give me a full refund as I do not think it is fit fot it's purpose.

When the first unit was sent back as faulty I did ask for a refund and was refused.

My paypal is paid from my credit card ,so can I ask them to help resolve this as surely in this Country we have a 12 month gaurentee on goods.

You should have asked for a full refund  the first time instead of accepting a replacement

You are out of time for any dispute in ebay and the money back guarantee is for items that are not as described when you recieve them

You have 30 days from the day of delivery to open the dispute so out of time

Yuo can open a dispute in paypal but that also is for items not as described when you recieve your item so they would probably not accept your claim

If they are a business in the Uk then try Citizens Advice for their help

Ebay and paypal guarantees are on top of any rights you have under UK law

If overseas or a private seller then there is nothing you can do

To add to your edited post

If the item was not as described (Faulty ) when you first recieved it then you needed to open a not as described dispute in ebay and escalate it after 8 days. Ebay would have gone with you and the seller would have been made to refund. They could not refuse.

As already said the money back guarantees on both ebay and paypal are for items that are not as described when you recieve them

You have 30 days from the day of delivery on ebay to open the dispute

You have 180 days on paypal.

You could try opening a dispute in paypal but they may not accept it especially as you have had a replacement item

If they accept it then you have to escalate the dispute within 20 days. As you have had a replacement it complicates things there is no knowing if paypal will accept the dispute

If the business is in the UK then you may well have rights over and above the ebay and paypal money back guarantees they are on top of your legal rights in this country

Contact Citizens advice for their help

If they are a private seller or overseas then you do not have those UK  rights as our law does not cover overseas sellers or private sales..

You would have to contact your card company to find out it you are covered that way
