Are Ebay manipulating sales??

I watched an item the ended just after 8pm tonight UK time.

I watched the last few minutes of countdown and there were no bids.

But when I looked at the ended item , it showed one bid and claimed the auction had ended at 12.09 .......... 8 hours earlier.

What is going on???

Can't see any activity at all on this ID and unless I can see what you say has happened I cannot even have a guess.
