Accepting an offer after a bid placed

I had an offer yesterday which I only saw this morning. However early this morning, before I saw the offer, a bid was placed on the same item. The offer was made before the bid. Can I still accept the offer or has the bid effectively cancelled the offer. Ron K

once a bid is placed all offers are cancelled, you cannot accept the offer.
