A seller just cancelled my bid

I was winning an auction for a kindle that was probably going to be cheaper than the seller would have liked and they have cancelled the bid, is this something that is allowed? I have messaged the seller to ask why they have cancelled the bid.

Is this something that eBay allows?

It is not good ebaying but it is the sellers item so they can do what they want.

Nothing you can do about it.

They may end up paying the final value fees
