Many Chinese sellers have depots in the UK,  from where they send out their goods.  To faciliate a far quicker dispatch time.

All above board and legal.

The listing therefore,  shows the item location not the seller's place of registration,  this can be found by clicking on their username ID and place of registration is there,  on their profile.

• You cannot search for sellers located in the UK......you can only search based on where the item is listed as being located...

• With overseas registered sellers this is quite possible as many have UK warehousing or distribution points....

• Business sellers must display their registration details at the bottom of each listing......

• Where an item is being sold by an overseas registered business seller then ALWAYS CHECK THE DELIVERY ESTIMATE (this is actually true even with UK registered sellers as an increasing number drop ship from overseas locations) .....if more than 5 days then there is a pretty good chance it is being shipped from overseas

• The only issue is where a seller misrepresents the location of an item......which may in some cases result in import charges/duty & VAT being charged.......in that case you can report it to eBay......the other possibility is an item being delivered after the specified delivery window.....in these cases you must open a not received case immediately......escalate after 8 days & if not delivered you will be refunded. You may end up with the item for free in this case as if delivered after refund it is unlikely the overseas seller will want to pay the shipping charges to return the item to them

• If ultimately the item comes from overseas then you may find this useful : https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Announcements/IMPORTANT-ACTION-FOR-ITEM-LOCATION-MISREPRESENTATION-P...

Many sellers with China registered accounts do have goods in the UK.
