£10 off next purchase really

So I bought am item when it arrived was looking lil worse for wear ie the boxing taped up and such . These things happen ,some bits where missing am assured they are coming as already built have of shelving unit and painted not happy to send all back for a few things missing so still awaiting then after first purchase  (weeks ago) 

E bay very kindly offered me £10 off next buy but over £20 ok that's ok , but no ,I MUST  to use by 31.10 .17  or get not a thing how pants is that I must buy an item in less than 2 weeks to get this gesture of good will ..... . I think it's very unfair and feel that this Gesture should have a time limit on it and be able to browse at my own leasure as to when I choose to buy something else from E-bay with any purresure of time scale . 

Please do let me know your thoughts on this good will act they say is for us being loyal customer s .
