1% fee offer BUT it comes with 'forced' automatic payment set up before use?!

I have used ebay for years and always pay fees using one time payment, but tonight I get this offer but it will no longer accept one time payment anymore? Is ebay trying to 'blackmail' me into setting up a recurring payment method with paypal? I cannot get past it! I am not going to use the account anymore if this is the case as I dont set up DDs.

It's not a recurring payment.

It means you would receive an invoice from ebay for your accumulated seller fees on x date and then payment taken from your Paypal account 2 weeks later.

Surely it's more convenient because you don't need to remember to pay your fees.

When it takes me to paypal it says that I am setting up a recurring payment, but that it can be cancelled in paypal, but this is not acceptable to me. HOWEVER I have logged out and restarted my laptop and logged back in and now I can list so something changed.. Anyhow it has gone away. I like to pay constantly MANUALLY myself, never been any problem before. I have just talked to my in laws who also sell (their old junk lol) And they said it has happened to them a month or so ago. They didnt list anything at the time and it has not happened since. Thankyou for your time though, much appreciated : )
