Re: fun unlimited

I’d say if you are a business, register as one, or do you really have over 2,500 items of clothing that were previously yours you are trying to get rid of?

Re: fun unlimited

To register correctly and be compliant with all rules , see here:

  1. Go to Account settings in My eBay.
  2. Select Personal information
  3. Select Edit next to Account type. You may be asked to sign in again.
  4. Select Confirm to upgrade to a Business account.
  5. Specify whether you operate your business as a legal entity or as a sole proprietor and select Continue.
  6. On the following page, enter your business information such as name, contact information, and returns policy. Then select Save.

Probably best to use a PC / laptop for this,  and not the app or mobile browser.  Chrome seems to work best on eBay.

Re: fun unlimited

You're welcome, and you need to have that business account now,  if you wish to sell  New items in large numbers,  or items you are buying to sell.

A Private account is one for selling used unwanted items,  such as a garage / wardrobe / attic clear out.

That is correct you cannot switch back, but the rules stand that it's not to do with ' what's best for you' but if you sell all new items / items bought to sell or make or grow your items you MUST have a Business account.

As I explained above,  a Private account is used for selling those unwanted,  used  household items, toys, clothes  etc.,  all used and not needed.

You can own a Private and a Business account,  you just need a different email address for both and different username ID.

Re: fun unlimited

Now I don't need a business account because I sell mostly items from my personal collection and occasionally at the request of my childhood friend, who was also into collecting. I would love our items to get in the hands of the collectors, where they will safely continue their existence.
But if everything is ok in the future, and I come up with an idea to sell something here in large numbers, I will switch it.
