Dead Man's List

This game is basically what the title suggests - a list of dead people.  The people on the list can be male or female, but when posting your response to the previous post the first letter of your reply must be identical to the last letter of the previous post.  I'll give you the first one to start you off, and we'll see how the thread progresses from there:

Yep, he's dead too - born on Thursday 8th August 1929 in Stockwell as Ronald Arthur Biggs, died on Wednesday 18th December 2013 in Barnet.  Best known to most people as a result of his part in the 1963 Great Train Robbery, for which he was subsequently found guilty and sent down, he busted out of jail in 1965 and lived in exile in South America for thirty years before returning to the UK.  Once back in the UK he was arrested and imprisoned, although his health rapidly deteriorated and he was released from jail in August 2009 on compassionate grounds.  He lived the rest of his life in a nursing home until his death on Wednesday 18th December 2013.
