I am a country cottage, thatched.

mad hairdo i.e. thatched roof.

then I am cosy inside, lots of stuff about, busting at the seams a bit!!!

oh and a lovely garden.

My mums house still has one of those lol and it's even used in the summer to save the kids traipsing in and out the house , thank gawd she modernised when they bought it 45 years ago and also has an inside bathroom as would be blinkin cold in the winter

I am in a terraced house built in 1831.  Being in Scotland everyone built their own house to their own style and simply used the gable wall of next door as an economy measure, Therefore I live in a terrace of  houses not one of which bears any relation to the rest.!

I love being where I am - the front of the house  is an 1840's wee Victorian cottage, with 2 guestrooms - but the back has a huge (bungalow) extension, which is where we live.   I've decorated every room in this house, except for the living room, got the painters in for that, and I made all the curtains too.  It's a right comfy house - I don't go in for showhomes. So easy to run, this was to be my last (retirement) house, so I got that right, lol.

Before that we lived in a huge Victorian house, which I hated, hated, hated. I used to spend my life cleaning it.  3 flights of stairs to vacuum, and all those windows to clean, bleurgh.

I am a 3 bed terraced box. but very cosy inside, I fitted all my own carpets and decorated it all myself. It now needs all doing again but doubt if I could manage it all now.

I would rather be my Mums and Dads house, an old converted flour mill surrounded by water, with wooded beams and a gorgeous aga in the kitchen. xx

Id be and id HAVE!! LOL, A Beach House. this is my dream but i am a bit like one too. Wild and free and a bit Blowy,, but on the other side relaxing and calm with a lot of Blue around me (sea and sky).

Of course it is ha ha. We can have a Girly day,,sunbathing,,lovely waiters bringing us our drinks and food. theres a Jacuzzi round the back,,,we can just Relax... Ill have to have some Binoculars again for the waiters!!!!. LOL.

I would be a country cottage with lots of quirky features and nooks and crannies.

Instead we live in a modern house with no soul. but we like it as it is practical and easy to keep clean.

Next door to us used to be a Public house and tea rooms with a coachhouse in the back garden for the coachman and his horses to rest.

We live in the converted coachmans lodgings thats now bursting at the seams like me  its a cute small cottage we have converted tastefully! lol. Kept as much of the wood panelling as we can and added another bedroom and conservatory. Now we are saving up to make the bathroom a little bigger.

So I would be a conversion job!lol
