Had an interesting chat with a group of 9 year olds earlier on what is an acceptable word to use to describe the part you sit on,
came about after one child complained another had used a naughty word.... bum!
so..
what do your children use?

Bottom or bum. I don't see bum as a rude word.

Grace says bum. I don't think that it's a rude word either.

I can't stand that advert either. Most ads don't bother me but that one is one of the worst I've seen.

My step daughter tells the kids off if they say bum. She insists that they say bottom because it's more polite.
Ironic to say the least because she has the foulest mouth I've ever heard. And I mean FOUL.
When my kids were little it was always bum, but now they're in their 40s it's a***e.
