I bought a plaster cast protector for having a shower sometime in Sept and thought I'd be using it in October. No,it turned out to be now.
I put it on for the first time today and the rubber ring around the top has come apart from the frame, I never even got the damn thing on never mind got it wet!!
Now, I can't even find out where I got it from, I've checked all the places I buy stuff...I could have sworn I got it from the comany itself but they say no.
Gawd, have I lost £16????
I'll have to check everywhere online after my tea........

How did you pay for it - can you track the purchase through your credit card statement or bank statement? If you paid by cheque did you write the details on the cheque stub?

It has been known to put your leg into a black bin liner and tuck the top in the plaster so water dont creep down the plaster. You might rustle a bit;)

do you know Dairy...I tried that last time when I had my left foot done. I wrapped a bin bag around my leg, tied it with duck tape, then put a towel, then another bin bag and more tape....and the wet got in and I got an infection down by my heel!!!
yet another strip wash....gawd I hate doing that, you never feel clean enough!

Captain - besides the bin bag and the duct tape (used masking tape myself), you need to elevate the leg so that the water would have to run uphill to get in the cast. Dry the water off before lowering the leg.

How do you elevate your leg in the shower?

Use a shower seat so that you shower sitting down, and put a plastic bin or similar in the shower and rest your foot on it - simple

Oh I see.My shower would be too small for that as it's a corner one. Good plan though.

I had to wear two of those Limbos for three months. I know the 'most important' bits were washed regulary but with both legs and feet not seeing water (except once a week when the dressings were changed) for all that time, I never really felt clean!
