Going tomorrow to see The Jersey Boys at HM Theatre, Aberdeen. It takes a wee while for the hit shows to get this far north!

Last time was probably seeing Billy Elliot the musical in London with Jan and her Mum and Dad. It was pure torture for me (not a huge fan of musicals), and even Jan thought it was rubbish!

I love musical theatre Cookie, but don't know that one, I hope you have a ball. What a lovely friend.
Billy Elliot - I saw it just after it opened with original cast and the young boy playing the lead was beyond superb, as much an athlete as a dancer. It was fabulous. Saw it annually 3 years running and it became a pale imitation of what I originally saw, dancing, acting, choreography, no resemblance to the original. Was given the DVD at Christmas and it's lousy. I suppose there are only so many extremely telented, daring young male ballet dancers to go round.
Oh oh oh oh oh Auntieannie you'll love Jersey Boys, I have the CD and play it a lot. I saw it in **coff** San Francisco and on Broadway, honest injun. You'll be dancin'. Say hello to His Maj's for me xx. And blow a kiss to Rabbie.

We've not been to the theatre for years. We used to go to either Manchester or Liverpool. One of the best things we've seen was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Brian Conley playing Caractacus Potts. He was brilliant and how they got that car to move the way it did especially at the end was brilliant.

Books, the film is one of my guilty pleasures

Yes Carol. It was written by Ian Fleming. I must admit that I like the film as well. When we went to watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, we wondered why we had gone as we thought it was only for children but it was brilliant.
We've seen Les Mis twice - once in Manchester and once in Liverpool. I think that the Liverpool production was the better one of the two. We've seen quite a lot of musicals.

Hi Rainy, His Maj tipped his crown to you and Robbie winked!! Great show, the enthusiasm of the cast and their talents are amazing, boy can they all sing!! A certain amount of the entertainment value was audience watching, there were swathes of middle agers all reliving their teenage years and singing along. As you obviously know MH's the knowledge that the accoustics are as good as ever and that you emerge into reality with a slightly dazed expression and a mild case of tinitus should not come as a suprise !

well last night we went to norwich and parked and went to pedros and had a nice meal and then wandered through the park to the theatre and went in the door to be told it was cancelled AAARRRRGGGGG.we were so disappointed apparently the keyboardist had been involved in a car accident and he was the stand in as the first keyboardist was ill.
