I remember there being a cat around. It's name seemed to be.. bloody cat...it was there to keep the mice down.. my Mum didn't do ( and still doesn't) anything furry!
My first real pet was also a budgie.. bought for me being a good girl when I had my tonsils out.. his name was Bluey.

Hamster called Topsy, followed by Topsy Too.
A succession of Hamsters, far too many to name them all but Charlie (female, but I thought she was a he when I got her ),
Patch who had 16 babies and sucessfully reared 15 of them
Freebie my last one, so called because the pet shop forgot to charge me for him
First dog - Guy in 1982 (the year after I got married) and we've had Rough Collies since then.

We always had a budgie when I was growing up, I can't remember how many but they were always called Billy & they were always blue .... all except for one when I managed to persuade my Mum to get a Yellow one for a change I used to spend hours teaching them to talk .... we always had dogs too but funnily enough its the budgies that stick in my mind

I can honestly say I don't remember my first pet. I do know that when I was born mom and dad had a dog. And at about age 3 we had a cat that I tried to let into the house and was told off for weeing on the floor. I have always had animals in my life. There have been budgies, canaries, Myna birds, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits. cats, dogs, fish, chickens, I honestly don't recall a time with no animals in my life. Our budgies were Pete and Repeat. 🙂 I remember them having eggs. 🙂 but don't remember babies.

A dog and a cat; then a guinea pig, Followed by a few hamsters, tortoises (I love them; they used to be £1, now they sell for at least £150) and budgies and goldfish (they were usually won at the fair.)

Ours was a cat called Timtom
One day 2 dogs got into the garden, cornered her outside the kitchen window, & one shook her by the scruff
It was a horrid time
Timtom died of internal injuries. She didn't look hurt, which is what made it hard for us as small children to accept

I think my dad brought a cat back from a farm and we called it Tibbles or something but i think it ran off!!, so i dont really count that. My first real pet was a pedigree Poodle a miniature . I named him Snowy and the day he came i had a Ballroom Dancing competition and did not want to leave him ha ha. He was beautiful but very naughty and we ended up handing him over ( or my parents did) to another family. I was so sad and often think about him. awwwww. We used to go and get him clipped and everything and he had a Blue Jewelled collar!!!. Beautiful Snowy.

Mum got me and my sister a 'small rabbit' each except the guy who sold them must have seen her coming. Sister had a smallish rabbit but
Skippy, my first pet was a hare!!
