Oh look, yet another Christmas TV advert! ....

How touching to have the meaning of Christmas brought to us by cola, food retailers and clothing suppliers....

Who'd have ever guessed that product consumption,massive advertising budgets and spirituality would mix so harmoniously?

I popped into Te**o's on the way back from the coast this afternoon to be greeted with xmas carols playing at full volume ............... for gawds sake its Nov the 12th at least lay off till Dec

I have not watched TV since February (ok Autumn Watch and other stuff on iplayer) and I certainly dont miss it!

I went for a walk round local shopping centre last. Week NOVEMBER 5th bonfire night, and the Christmas carols were belting out then, made a hastily exit as I thought it was a bit too much to listen to

I was in a shop in town yesterday and there were more Christmas things blaring out Christmas Carols than enough.  I agree with the point that was made earlier - at least leave the Christmas Carols and everything else Christmas related until December.

Our local shopping outlet had a firework display on November 1st.....

the same night that the Christmas lights were switched on and extended late night Christmas shopping hours began..

The carols started after the bangs from the fireworks had finished...

To look at it another way, as I like to, shops and businesses need to sell because of the financial climate. There are worse things that could be inflicted on you than Christmas. Plague, dysentery, locusts, Jedward?
