Where have all the listings gone?

I collect books and other paper materials on China. Each day I enter over 100 search terms, searching for Newly Listed Items. Under the terms "China Books" and "Chinese Books", the search terms with the most listings, there were over 100,000 items, with about 2,000 new items each day. Now, the total number of items listed for "China Books" and "Chinese Books" is under 20,000 items and each day's search only turns up some 200 items. Anyone have any idea what happened, how over 80,000 listings were evaporated, together w/ new listings? I have asked ebay about this. No answer yet. Txs
