We all know it's supposed to be a time of good tidings, joy and warm feelings for our fellow man, hearts overflowing with love, faces glowing with happiness, serene smiles replacing everyday frowns.....pffftttt...
But what gets under your skin? what spoils the enjoyment of this festive time?.....
From a little niggle to the full blown, blood boiling teddy chucked out of the pram thing... anything.....come on,have a rant, let it all out ....you know you want to.......
I'll start the Christmas bauble rolling.....
The run up to it starts far too early
the tree lights are always tangled no matter how neatly they are put away the previous year

Run up starting too early as you said Twishy
Peeps asking if your ready ? ( the window cleaner asked me in October)
That you can't get a festive meal in the 12 days of Christmas when you fancy going out
Finding the festive napkins you saved from last year are one short for how many are coming Christmas day so have to buy more anyway !!

Christmas will starting just after Easter soon. Another thing that annoys me is all the furniture and holiday adverts from Christmas Day.

Our works meal menu used to come round in September so it could be booked...by the time we got there on the night most of us had forgotten what we'd ordered ....

What annoys me about Christmas... EVERYTHING

Yep! It starts far too early & when it arrives it's over too quickly. It's too expensive. Adverts (again) that make children want presents their parents can't afford. I eat too much. I drink too much. It's in the winter & I hate the winter. I will come up with more later.

When it starts in September!!!!!!!!!!
People expecting me to "entertain" them for the entire fortnight when all I really want is a bit of peace and quiet.
OH's who suggest what we eat, when we eat and I know that won't work because it didn't suit last time and caused me endless hassles!.
Men who insist their kids have equal sized, equal value, equal number of parcels which limits what they can be bought(ie all son wants is vouchers and all daughter wants come in 3ft square parcels!!)
Family who won't visit when it suits me and other family arrangements and who then expect you to fit around them(and who won't eat with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I hate the politics of Christmas - the who goes to who and who's turn is it.
Too many people in an overheated room make me

What annoys me most at Christmas or in fact anytime is meaness , the relative who visits , eats, drinks, outstays their welcome & never even leaves us a card !

Won't be quite the same this year as I won't be at the pub but the one thing that really irks me is some peeps see xmas as the one time of year they can drink far too much , cause a huge argument then expect it to be forgotten all about as they can't actually remember what horrid things they said.
Also not only are the blinkin lights always tangled but they never work till you've gone through the whole lot fiddlen with those teeny tiny little bulbs only to find its the very last one you come to that is loose.

I don't like how ignorant some people become in the supermarkets as Christmas gets nearer; they think they can just push you out of the way. And people going manic, loading trollies up as though we are going to have a food shortage! Can avoid that this year, thanks to online grocery shopping

People tend to stock up on food too much. After all, the supermarkets are only closed for a couple of days. Are they going to eat trolley loads of food over two days? Methinks not.

They are open but the shelves are empty. Who wants to go out shopping over the holidays?

I don't get a lot to eat over two days, I get a lot to eat over two weeks or more. I don't want to have to go to the supermarket when it's packed with people stocking up for new year, taking things back that didn't work at Christmas and overexcited children running around causing havoc.
A little forward planning avoids a lot of hassle.

It makes me smle when they push loaded trolleys to the check outs and say 'We do it for the children'..
as they carefully pack the bottles of booze ...
