I can't get over the men! Women still look much the same, give or take a bubble perm, but the blokes could be off another planet. Tight, tight trousers, long hair, humungous moustaches, shirts unbuttoned to reveal welcome-mat style chests.... I was watching Magum PI and I swear he had our old black cat stuffed down his front. They were posturing, macho and practically had testosterone leaking out their ears. Did we really used to fancy them?

Mind you, having said that I wouldn't push Martin Shaw (as Doyle in the Professionals) out of the bed, even if he did have collars and lapels you could land jumbo jets on.

Oooooo, yes I'm with you there..........Martin Shaw, then and now

What about footballer Kevin Keegan - looked like Shirley Temple gone wrong!

The gentleman with whom I often walk out informs me that in the 70s he had a Mexican moustache and an afro. However being 5'2" and Welsh may have spoiled the Jason King vibe.

I think some of those 'Ming The Mercyless' collars are pretty cool.

Lewis Collins was the man for me, although Martin Shaw has got better with age.

Tom Selleck, on the cover of Gentleman's Quarterly... looking very snazzy at 69 years of age...
Or, if you prefer...

Ah, now he kindles my long-dormant fires in the first photo. I never fancied him young but he's aged beautifully. And you can clearly see the black cat in the second photo

I thought it was a nest of caterpillars he was homing at the time
