Update on daughter's wedding.

Well she now doesn't want to get married at the register office! So we have booked a hotel for the whole wedding. Working it out it will probably cost less doing it this way than it would have doing everything ourselves!  The registrars are booked, she has chosen her dress/bridesmaids dresses, cake is ordered (other daughter paying for that!), flowers and buttonholes sorted sorted and I have my outfit already!

It'll soon be here. My Goddaughter is getting married in September and it is nearly a year since she told us she was getting married and that time has flown by.

Yes I'm quite surprised at how organised we are! Like most girls she has always had an idea what she wanted and with the internet these days, it's a lot easier to see what's out there. She's made the invitations herself and they look really professional, not bad for a woman who repairs shoes for a living!

I'm making my own dress in a plain silver grey. Hoping to lose a bit of weight between now and then, so not making it yet, but I have the fabric and pattern. It's just a shift dress but has pin tucks radiating from the waist on one side like sunrays! I have bought a black and silver hat (first time ever!) and my shoes and bag are multi coloured but with black background. I will post pics ater the big day!
