Tuesday's Tea Thread

I have been out for lunch with my dad and had three bean and lentil masala so not needing much for my tea which will be a plain old salad. Lovely when you get a day when you don't have to cook.

The weather here in Hinckley (Leicestershire) is fabulous and as I sit here all the windows and doors are open letting in a very welcome breeze

I had beef stew, hubby had chicken stew.  Mine was delicious with garlic and curry powder.  I expect his was bland with no extra flavourings at all. Yuk!

Well it was sausage, egg and cheesy potatoes.  Then, chesty cough interfering, it became frozen beef pie, chips and beans.  Then OH phoned and said home about 8 so he'll have a tin of soup, bath and his bed!. So dinner is cancelled and I am off round the chippy(if i can be bothered).

Stroppy - the advice at our local hozzie if you are mobile enough, is to nip down the staff restaurant or the burgerking fake a like if you want enough to eat!.

Whilst on the subject offood - I bought a mahoosive bar of chocolate, put it on the table, nipped out to do despatches and half of it melted.  It is in the fridge.  Will it recover enough to give to daughter as part of birthday present or should I eat the evidence and buy a new one?

Eat it and buy another two.  That way, you'll have a replacement if anything happens to the new one.;-)

Hubby had jacket potatoes with cheese and the rest of the ham from yesterday, and I had garlic baguette with cheese melted over it.

Some very yummy looking sausages from the farmers market. Pork and cheese, lamb and garlic and Italian.
