I was telling some neighbours, who I thought were also my friends, the latest on my Brother, which is that he had a heart attack on Monday and the hospital broke 2 of his ribs when they were resuscitating him; now I know this can happen. But these people said he would be better off dead, especially if he needs everything doing for him! Now that has really upset and hurt me, as my poor Brother WANTS to live and see his Grandchildren grow up. Some things should be thought and not spoken. I always take things to heart and can't just shrug them off as ignorance. I wouldn't dream of saying anything like that.

Carol, I know I'm not here alot but I've just logged in and seen your thread.

"There's nowt so queer as folk"  comes to mind.   People are strange aren't they?  Maybe your friends tactlessness filter needs an update?

I've had similar comments about my Mum (who has Alzheimer's) they were meant kindly but  just don't say these things do you?!!! 
Oi!! That's my Mum you're talking about!  Is what I've said to those who hardly know me but decided they would put they opinions in when I moved back to Mums house. I still get those comments when I mention it so now I don't talk about it to anyone.. Silly people.

Try to rise above it.  Very hard I know, but let them live with what they said, not you.. Move on and forget. XXxx

Don't waste another moment thinking about them and their odd thoughts....

I hope your brother continues his recovery, as slow as it seems..... those 6 months will fly by xx
