Thanks to Stampinpat, I was watching Celebrity Chase whilst cooking the tea and they had Chris Packham the naturalist on there and he was asked the question what is a baby hedgehog called, I answered a hoglet, and he answered something else can't remember what and he got it wrong and I got it right. See it's not all gossip and larking about on here, you do learn things.
Would you believe it I just did a spell check and hoglet came up as wrong but there was no right answer.

There are a number of names that the dictionary accepts. Hoglet is quite new, some people call them kits (which Chris said) and some call them piglets as the male and female adults are boars and sows.

I must admit I googled it after the spellchecker picked it up and it just said it was a hedgehog not a baby, and yes CB he gets on my pip too. Too smart by half.
I got it right didn't I it is Stampinpat that has the hedgehogs isn't it. oh er me typings changed!

Well done Ed. 🙂 Hoglet is fairly new. I don't think it is in the dictionary yet. But it is what all us carers and rescuers call baby hedgehogs. It will get there eventually. 🙂

Joins the not liking Chris Packham group. Spring and Autumn Watch went downhill fast when he started doing it. Much prefer Bill Oddy.
